A Little Bit About Me

Hello! My name is Vidya Vuppala, and I'm currently a junior at Purdue University majoring in Computer Science and pursuing a minor in Linguistics. I'm the Advertisements and Communications Lead of LaunchPad, a web developer as a part of NeuroTech Society @ Purdue, and part of Hack the Future. In my free time, I love to read books, crochet and dance.

I was a front-end developer for a group that created a web app that makes a curated personal Spotify playlist based on user’s journey and preferences. We used JavaScript, HTML, CSS and Firebase for our backend

LTHC Website

I was part of a group that created a web app, using JavaScript HTML, CSS, for a local community’s homeless shelter called LTHC in West Lafayette, Indiana.

Shell Project

Shell interpreter written in C++ that replicates functionality of csh and bash shells.

Java

Recycl App

I made an android app to help dispose waste correctly by analyzing an image of trash and categorizing it. It is made on Android Studio and uses Firebase Machine Learning.

CME Group

Summer 2022 Internship - I was part of a team that provides an easy and secure way to view trading data. I worked on authentication of XML files using an XML parser using Python

Purdue Datamine – Military Family Research Institution (MFRI)

Student Teaching Assistant (TA) / Product Manager - I am a TA/Product Manager for Purdue Datamine, where students work with MFRI to explore the different ways to improve user engagement by creating interactive and comparative data reports. My job is to lead the teams using the Agile methodology and facilitate communication between the students and the researcher institute.
